The Story Of

Mrs. Kim

From pasabuy packs to premium beauty lounges, Mrs Kim’s rise is a story of purpose built through faith, family, and fierce heart.

From the quiet town of Talisay, Negros Occidental to the heart of Makati City, Christgirl Mary Kim has built more than a business—she’s built an ecosystem. A full-time breadwinner, a mother of three, and the powerhouse behind the Mrs. Kim brand group, she has turned responsibility into legacy and created a movement rooted in purpose.

It all began with a simple offer: to send Korean goods to friends in the Philippines. That small gesture became Mrs. Kim’s Pasabuy Korea, a growing community built on trust and consistency. As the demand expanded, so did the challenges—especially with bogus buyers and unreliable transactions. To address this, she established a brick-and-mortar store through Mrs. Kim’s Little Korea, giving customers a dependable, physical space to return to. “In the Philippines, people need to know may babalikan sila. That’s how trust starts,” she says.

With more Filipinos becoming curious about Korean skincare, Mary Kim launched Mrs. Kim’s K Beauty, an educational platform offering accessible skincare options for Filipinos who wanted to do things right—but didn’t know where to start.

She then took things further by founding Mrs. Kim’s K Beauty Lounge in Bulacan, bringing in trained experts and beauty specialists to introduce Korean techniques and care standards directly to local communities.

In 2025, she opened her most premium concept yet: Hestia K Beauty Lounge by Mrs. Kim, located in the heart of Makati. Meant to be a sanctuary of transformation and calm, Hestia combines Korean rituals with elevated care, offering everything from scalp treatments to luxury facials in a space designed to restore self-worth. “I wanted a space that feels like healing,” she says. “You walk in tired, and walk out remembering your worth.”

At the heart of Mary Kim’s business philosophy is a lesson from her husband: “Customers are king and queen.” It’s a value she has carried through every pivot, even during loss. “When a major shipment was lost, we refunded every customer—kahit hindi namin kasalanan. Because the trust we’ve built? It’s not worth losing.”

During the height of the pandemic, she opened her doors to displaced workers—students, stay-at-home parents, first-time jobseekers—giving them not just jobs, but something to belong to. Today, many of those same people now lead teams, run stores, and help grow the brand family known internally as MKPK. “We’re not just building businesses,” she says. “We’re building better lives for everyone.”

Looking forward, Mary Kim continues to grow her ventures with intention—expanding training programs, improving access to expert care, and cultivating spaces where people feel safe, empowered, and seen. “If even one person feels safe because of what we’ve built,” she says, “then all of it is worth it.”
